Academic Research
The mission of Research & Development cell in CMREC is to continuously engage in research and development activities and to promote scientific temper in the graduates, leading to life-long learning. CMREC provides necessary facilities for promoting basic research ideas with R & D agencies in other sectors for expanding and enriching the knowledge base in their respective areas. R & D Cell co-ordinates sponsored research, collaborative research and industrial consultancy projects at CMREC. Through such projects, CMREC is strengthening the R & D capabilities of the faculty and students and participate in Industries problem solving. Students & Faculty are highly encouraged to pursue research experiences. The institute provides grants-in-aid for collaborative/Individual work related futuristic frontline research having application in the new world class systems which leads to major research.
For students, research plays an important role in the educational experience and provides practical skills for future employment. Students @ CMREC have a wide range of opportunities available to participate in groundbreaking research with faculty and peers. Students are encouraged to involve themselves in the activities of Research and Development cell @CMREC. Students of various branches either individual/group may be approached with an idea for the financial aid.

Dr.B.Hari Krishna got B.Tech in ECE, from JNTUH in the Year 2002, M.Tech. (Embedded systems) from SRM University, Chennai in the Year 2005 and Ph.D. from Sathyabama University in the year 2015. He has got 12 Years of Teaching Experience. Presently, he is working as Professor in Department of Electronics and communication engineering in CMR Engineering College Hyderabad. He has so far published papers in referred International Journals and national journals. And attended and published papers in international conferences and national conferences. His area of interest are fault tolerance, Embedded systems, image processing. He is guiding 6 Ph.D. students

Impact of Recommendations of Research Committee:
- For enhancing the research activities and imbibing the research culture at the Institute level, a policy is formulated for financial and other required support for research promotion. The researchers are financially supported for organizing and attending the research activities like Workshops, Seminars, National and International Conferences, Faculty Development Programs etc. The allocation of funds depends on level of the activity, number of participants and duration of activity
- Funds are provided for Patents and Research Publications within India and abroad. The registration charges, travelling and other allowances are reimbursed. An incentive is offered to the Principal Investigator for submitting research proposals. The amount allotted depends upon Research Grant received
- Researchers are provided with seed money to initiate the research work
